during the Wine and Jazz Festival.

Patrick McElligott is a fourth
generation Oregonian and has been working in the Oregon wine industry
for 27 years. He has been the manager of the Oregon Wine Tasting Room
for that entire period. During that time, the Oregon Wine Tasting Room
has been honored as Oregon Wine Retailer of the Year. Stories about the
Oregon Wine Tasting Room have been featured in British Vogue, LA Style,
Alaska Airlines Magazine, the LA Times, Seattle Weekly, and many other
publications. In addition to his work at the Oregon Wine Tasting Room,
Patrick consults and blends for several Oregon wineries. He teaches
Elder Hostel wine classes and is an instructor in Chemeketa Community
College's Vineyard Management and Winemaking Program. Patrick will share
insights about the premium wines produced by the wineries located in the
East Willamette Valley.
Tim Duffy received a BA in Music Ed
from Willamette University and an MA in Music Education at the
University of Oregon. He has spent 18 years teaching band and choir in
public schools. Tim started the Salem Big Band in 1989; he currently
plays in the Grand House Jazz Band and performs on clarinet and sax
around the Willamette Valley. He is the Band Director at Silverton HS
and Mark Twain Middle School. At the Silverton Wine and Jazz Festival,
Tim will be teaching a workshop on the history of Jazz with examples of
many Jazz styles. He will personally demonstrate by playing and will
answer questions.
